[BRAND DNA & VALUES]
KATIAMONGE was born from a commitment to conscious creation and the reuse of materials.
Each piece begins with the search for recovered components such as buttons, zippers, belts and buckles, giving a second life to items that had been forgotten.
This limitation becomes a space for experimentation, where creativity arises from the restriction and transforms need into innovation.
Alongside these repurposed details, the brand seeks to work with 100% natural fabrics, such as silk, cotton, linen, and leather, collaborating with textile partners specializing in recycled natural fibers. This approach guarantees consistent premium quality while preserving the integrity of its sustainable philosophy.
Production is rooted in Guatemala, where local craftsmanship brings each design to life, while creative and experimental direction takes place in Madrid. This dialogue between heritage and modernity, between handcrafted work and innovation, defines the essence of the brand and reflects the convergence of cultural depth and a contemporary vision.
Officially launched in January 2025, KATIAMONGE is currently available in select concept stores and through its official e-commerce platform, offering a curated experience that connects craftsmanship, storytelling, and contemporary luxury.

[ABOUT THE DESIGNER]
KATIAMONGE is a Guatemalan designer who develops her practice between Latin America and Madrid. A graduate of Istituto Marangoni Milano, in 2022 she was recognized as Most Promising Student by Sara Sozzani Maino of Vogue Talents, establishing herself as one of the most relevant emerging voices of her generation.
Before founding the brand that bears her name, she was part of creative teams in renowned Latin American firms, participating in the development of upcycled collections that were later sold in some of the most influential international retailers.
Her work explores the dialogue between structure and fluidity, intellect and emotion, and the poetic tension between the feminine and the masculine. Through precise construction and a material sensibility marked by Latin American craftsmanship, KATIAMONGE proposes a contemporary femininity that is both reflective and powerful.
Since its official launch in January 2025, the firm has been featured in Glamour Magazine and Vogue Mexico, positioning itself as a brand that merges Latin American artisanal knowledge with European conceptualism under a sophisticated and current vision.
Currently, KATIAMONGE is available in select concept stores and through its official e-commerce platform, offering a curated experience that connects craftsmanship, storytelling, and contemporary luxury.

[SUSTAINABILITY]
KATIAMONGE addresses the overflow of donated clothing from the United States that is discarded in Guatemala by recovering high-quality elements such as silver buckles, metal hardware, mother-of-pearl buttons, silks and denim, transforming them into new sculptural pieces.
The brand also collaborates with suppliers who create fabrics from 100% recycled cotton, produced by shredding landfill waste into new canvas, denim, and poplin, while artisanal production in Guatemala brings cultural depth and mastery to each garment.
Upcycling is not a theme, but an ongoing design methodology, rooted in the designer's long-standing practice of working with salvaged and deadstock materials. This material-centric approach has been fundamental to her work since her student days.
Starting with the search for discarded components in local markets, working with deadstock fabrics and constructing silhouettes around available materials, this practice evolved into a design language focused on transformation, elevating elements with a previous life into pieces with emotional and sculptural presence.
The development process begins with material recovery and low-waste 3D prototyping. To minimize waste, the brand integrates digital prototyping using CLO3D, reducing the need for muslin samples, excess fabric, and iterative physical testing.
Complementary techniques such as 3D sculpted elements (Cinema4D) allow the creation of custom closures or reinforcements that seamlessly incorporate irregular or salvaged materials into the final garment.
