during this mini-projects I was asked to create a small capsule collection for various brands under a restricted time, adapting the brand aesthetics and giving it my personal vision.
This collection was created around a self-reflected narrative, inspired by the flow of my thoughts based on overthinking. Through deconstructed and experimental approaches, I started irregular knitted fabric swatches on white yarn. Representing a empty canvas, with the idea of garments being knitted and, after production, being painted by hand. Illustrating the power we have to control our thoughts, color, and emotions. As well as as the concept of creating a code to conduct our fleeting thoughts that dictate our being. Whether disastrous or clean, everybody has a different operating system in their brains. Assembling a merge between 1970’s female silhouette romantic atmosphere and 1990’s grunge aesthetic, and 1960s dandies elements.
Inspired by a composition called Fractalled: The Interstitial Spaces And Frank Gehry
[ Establishing an axis generates order. This axis is a line, “established by two points in space, about which forms and spaces can be arranged in a symmetrical or balanced manner.”This line remains imaginary but its force resonates and throbs through a design. What is the liminal space? It is the moment of possibility. It is the moment you awaken from the dream that alters your consciousness. (rebirth of consciousness.)
Movement in one direction will therefore lead to a threshold of possibility.
